Cancellation, Refund & Booking Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains the cancellation, refund and rescheduling terms applying to services, tuning files, software, physical products and Trade/Mapper Membership purchased from PDpower Remaps.
Quick Summary
Tuning Files & Software
Digital content is generally non-refundable once supply, download or access has begun, where the legally required consent and acknowledgement has been obtained.
Mapper Membership
£17.99 monthly recurring Trade Membership. Cancel anytime to prevent future renewals. Membership periods already purchased are ordinarily non-refundable for genuine trade purchases.
Remapping Services
At least 24 hours' notice is required for cancellation under our standard booking policy. Rescheduling requires at least 12 hours' notice.
Trade / Mapper Membership
Who the Membership Is For
The Trade/Mapper Membership is specifically intended for people purchasing access in connection with vehicle tuning, ECU remapping, calibration or related commercial activity.
This includes, without limitation:
- Professional remapping and tuning businesses
- Sole traders
- Self-employed tuners and mappers
- People carrying out paid tuning/remapping as a side business
- Individuals purchasing files or services for vehicles belonging to their own customers
A purchaser does not need to operate through a limited company, employ staff, have business premises or work full-time in the trade for their purchase to be made for trade/business purposes.
Membership Benefits
- 20% discount across eligible website purchases
- 20% off Custom File Service bookings
- 20% off off-the-shelf tuning files
- 20% off merchandise and eligible software
- Access to trade-only files and resources
- Access to WinOLS map packs where available
- Access to selected free software/resources
- Priority support
Available benefits may be updated, replaced or expanded from time to time. Any material change affecting an existing paid subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
Recurring Payment & Cancellation
- Membership costs £17.99 per month.
- The subscription automatically renews monthly until cancelled.
- There is no fixed minimum membership period beyond the period already purchased.
- You may cancel at any time to prevent the next renewal.
- No additional cancellation fee is charged.
Cancelling your subscription stops future recurring payments. Cancellation does not ordinarily create a refund entitlement for a membership period that has already been purchased and made available to a genuine trade/business purchaser.
Membership Refunds
Where the membership has been purchased wholly or mainly for the purchaser's trade, business, craft or profession, including paid tuning/remapping carried out on a part-time or side-business basis, the purchase is treated as a trade/business purchase.
Trade membership fees already charged are ordinarily non-refundable once membership access and benefits have been made available.
Failure to use the membership, forgetting to cancel, changing your mind, or no longer requiring the membership does not by itself create an entitlement to a refund for a genuine trade/business purchase.
If PDpower Remaps incorrectly charges you after a valid cancellation, duplicates a payment, or is unable to provide the membership purchased, please contact us so the payment can be investigated and, where appropriate, corrected or refunded.
Consumer safeguard: Nothing in this section removes statutory rights where a purchaser legally qualifies as a consumer.
Free Website Registration vs Paid Trade Membership
The £17.99 payment relates specifically to the optional Trade/Mapper Membership and its associated trade discounts, files, resources and benefits.
The Trade registration/payment page displays the membership price and recurring monthly nature of the subscription before payment is made.
Consumer Cancellation Rights
Some customers purchasing online in a personal capacity may qualify as consumers and may have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Whether somebody is a consumer depends on the purpose for which they are acting. Purchasing something for commercial tuning/remapping activity may constitute a trade/business purchase even where the activity is part-time or carried out as a side business.
Digital Downloads, Tuning Files & Software
Digital Content
Digital products include, but are not limited to:
- Off-the-shelf tuning files
- ECU calibration files
- Custom tuning files supplied electronically
- WinOLS map packs
- Software
- Digital tools
- Calibration data
- Other downloadable electronic resources
Once Digital Supply Begins
Where a consumer has expressly agreed to digital content being supplied immediately and has acknowledged that beginning supply means losing their statutory cancellation right, the right to cancel is lost when supply begins as provided by applicable law.
Accordingly, once a digital file, download, software product, calibration, map pack or other digital content has been supplied, accessed, downloaded or otherwise made available following the required consent and acknowledgement, it is non-refundable for change of mind.
This includes accidentally purchasing the wrong file where the file supplied correctly matches the product that was ordered.
Custom & Personalised Files
Custom calibration work may begin as soon as an order is accepted where immediate performance has been requested.
Files created or modified specifically for a customer's ECU, software version, vehicle specification, modifications or requested calibration cannot simply be resold as the same service to another customer.
Where applicable, cancellation/refund rights may therefore be affected once custom work has commenced or digital content has been supplied, subject always to statutory rights.
Problems With a File
A no-refund rule does not remove your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
If we have supplied an incorrect, corrupted or inaccessible file, contact us and we will investigate and, where appropriate, provide a corrected or replacement file.
A refund will only be considered where required by law or where an appropriate correction/replacement cannot reasonably resolve the problem.
Immediate Digital Supply
Service Bookings & Mobile Remapping
Cancellation Notice
- Cancellations: minimum 24 hours' notice under our standard booking policy.
- Rescheduling: minimum 12 hours' notice.
- Bookings made less than 12 hours before the appointment cannot ordinarily be rescheduled under our standard booking policy.
These contractual booking rules operate subject to any statutory cancellation rights that apply to a consumer.
Deposits & Advance Payments
A booking deposit reserves appointment capacity and contributes towards administration, scheduling, preparation and losses reasonably arising where a booked appointment is cancelled.
- If PDpower Remaps declines the booking before work is performed, payments will be refunded as appropriate.
- If we cannot fulfil the booking and no suitable alternative is agreed, payments relating to services not supplied will be refunded.
- If a booking error occurs on our side, we will correct it without penalising the customer.
Where the customer cancels, any amount retained will be subject to applicable law and will not exceed what we are lawfully entitled to retain having regard to work performed and losses caused by the cancellation.
Full Payment Made in Advance
Where a customer has paid the full service price in advance and cancels with at least 24 hours' notice under our standard booking policy, the refundable balance will ordinarily be returned after any lawful deduction relating to the reserved booking/deposit, preparation or work already performed.
Cancellations within 24 hours may result in a greater deduction where we have suffered loss because the appointment cannot reasonably be filled, subject to applicable consumer law.
Service Started During Cancellation Period
Where a qualifying consumer expressly asks us to begin providing a service during a statutory cancellation period, work may begin immediately.
If the customer then exercises a statutory right to cancel before completion, they may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied, where permitted by law.
Where a service has been fully performed following the legally required request and acknowledgement, statutory cancellation rights may end.
Rescheduling
- One free reschedule is permitted per booking where sufficient notice is provided.
- A £20 administration/rescheduling charge may apply to additional reschedules where reasonable.
- Repeated or last-minute changes may require a new booking/deposit where we incur additional scheduling loss.
Late Arrival
- A 20-minute grace period is normally allowed.
- After 20 minutes we may be unable to complete the appointment without affecting later bookings.
- The appointment may therefore need to be cancelled or rearranged.
- A reasonable charge may apply where lateness causes additional time or direct loss.
Vehicle Condition & Incorrect Booking Information
Correct Information Required
Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle, modification and booking information.
If materially incorrect information prevents the booked service from being performed, reasonable costs already incurred may be deducted from any refund where permitted by law.
Mobile Visits
If we have travelled to the customer and the service cannot proceed because of incorrect information, undisclosed faults or another issue attributable to the vehicle/customer, reasonable travel and diagnostic costs may be payable.
Where applicable, travel outside the included area is charged at the rate disclosed when booking.
Remap Results & Performance Estimates
- Power, torque and performance figures are estimates unless specifically measured and agreed otherwise.
- Estimated gains assume a healthy vehicle with correctly functioning engine, turbo, fuelling, drivetrain, sensors and supporting systems.
- Actual results vary according to vehicle condition, fuel quality, maintenance, hardware and modifications.
- Modified vehicles may achieve different results depending on turbochargers, injectors, intercoolers, MAP sensors and other supporting hardware.
- Dyno graphs and results from other vehicles are examples and do not guarantee identical results.
- Existing mechanical or electrical faults may prevent the intended calibration from operating correctly.
- Customers must disclose known faults and relevant modifications before tuning.
Vehicles With Known Faults
We may decline to tune a vehicle where we reasonably believe its mechanical or electrical condition makes tuning unsuitable or unsafe.
Where a customer asks us to continue despite a known fault, we will explain the relevant concern where reasonably possible.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or removes rights relating to services that have not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Mobile Remapping & Travel
Included Travel
For full mobile remap services, travel can normally be arranged to a home, workplace or agreed meeting location within 50 miles each way or approximately one hour of travel, whichever limit is reached first, from the assigned mapper's base.
Additional Travel
Travel outside the included range is charged at £1 per additional mile, calculated on the round trip, unless another price is agreed before the appointment.
Free travel does not automatically apply to diagnostics, coding, revisions, tweaks, add-ons or other small jobs.
Physical Products & Plug-and-Play ECUs
Consumer Online Purchases
Where statutory distance-selling cancellation rights apply to an ordinary physical product, qualifying consumers may cancel within the applicable statutory period.
Products must be handled only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Any lawful deduction for diminished value may be made where applicable.
Faulty Products
Statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods are unaffected by this policy.
Please contact us promptly with your order details and, where useful, photographs/video showing the problem so that we can investigate.
Custom / Programmed ECUs
ECUs or other products programmed, coded, modified or produced to a customer's individual specification may be excluded from ordinary change-of-mind cancellation rights where the statutory personalised goods exception applies.
This does not remove statutory remedies where the item is faulty, misdescribed or does not conform to the contract.
Returns
Customers exercising a valid cancellation right must return the product within the applicable legal timeframe and follow the return instructions supplied by PDpower Remaps.
Return postage is the customer's responsibility where legally permitted and where this was disclosed before purchase. We will cover appropriate return costs where required by law, including relevant cases involving faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.
Misuse, Modification & Third-Party Changes
We are not responsible for problems caused by customer misuse, unauthorised modification, incorrect installation, third-party changes, incompatible hardware or changes made after our product/service was supplied, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.
Where investigating a reported issue shows that the supplied product or service was not responsible for the fault, reasonable further diagnostic or additional work may be chargeable where agreed with the customer.
If PDpower Remaps Has to Cancel
Occasionally illness, vehicle breakdown, emergencies, weather, staff/ mapper availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control may prevent an appointment from taking place.
We will normally offer a replacement appointment at no additional booking charge.
Where we cannot provide the purchased service and no suitable alternative is agreed, the customer will receive any refund required by applicable law for services not supplied.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us first so that we can investigate the transaction.
We reserve the right to provide payment processors, card issuers and relevant dispute-resolution providers with order records, download/access records, correspondence, booking records, proof of delivery and other relevant evidence when responding to a payment dispute or chargeback.
Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising any lawful right to dispute a payment.
Statutory Rights
This policy is intended to operate alongside applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 where they apply.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or attempts to waive any statutory right or remedy which cannot legally be excluded.
Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory statutory right, the statutory right takes priority and the remainder of this policy continues to apply so far as legally permitted.
