Important Information
This decoder identifies the software contained within the ECU file you upload. It does not physically identify the ECU fitted to the vehicle unless the uploaded file was read directly from that ECU.
If your vehicle has a flashing glow plug light, engine management light, immobiliser issues, limp mode, smoke or poor running, this can sometimes be caused by incorrect software being installed on the ECU.
If the ECU is original to the vehicle, you can often confirm compatibility by removing the ECU and checking the numbers printed on the ECU label. However, if the vehicle has a replacement ECU, plug-and-play ECU or previously modified ECU fitted, the printed ECU numbers may not match the software currently installed.
In these cases, the uploaded ECU file is usually the most accurate indication of what is currently programmed into the ECU. If you suspect the wrong software has been installed, please contact PDpower Remaps directly for further help.
How It Works
