PDpower Switchable Map Coder — Early Release

Early release: still in active development. Windows software for the tuning trade, supporting reviewed EDC15P 1.4–1.9 TDI files and compatible codeblock layouts.

Verified patches and free testing

Patches marked Verified have been tested and confirmed working on vehicles for the supported ECU/software combination. This does not make a patch suitable for every ECU: compatibility is checked inside the BIN, and matching filenames or ECU numbers alone are not enough.

Eligible patches not yet verified are available as free tests. They are experimental and are not confirmed working until vehicle testing and review are complete. One pending free test is allowed per account; submit vehicle-test feedback before starting another.

Choose your licence

• Program + Licence — £30: one approved PC. Buy credits separately; no credits included.
• Professional Bundle — £179: program included, with unlimited supported VIN changes and switchable coding. No separate £30 program purchase or credits are needed for supported app jobs. Custom coding is charged separately.

Early-release Pro pricing

Now is the opportunity to get the Pro version before its price increases as development and verified support grow. The planned increase applies to Pro; the credit-based route will keep its current per-job pricing for those who prefer to pay as they go.

For a trade pricing comparison, a single switchable-map job charged at £200+, or a mobile job charged at £300+, can cover the current £179 Pro licence purchase price before your other business costs. This is an illustration, not a promise of earnings or compatibility with every job.

Credit system — pay as you go

• 2 credits / £30: supported new switchable coding for a new file.
• 1 credit / £15: a supported VIN swap to reuse the same existing switchable file on another matching, compatible ECU. The existing maps and switching code are retained.
• 3 credits / £45: confirmed custom coding for an unsupported file.
• Pro custom coding / £32.50: half the usual £65 price, where custom work is agreed.

Buy VIN credits here. Credits do not include the app licence. PDpower must confirm custom work before payment. Future file support can also be requested free.

What the software does

• Adds switchable coding to supported files and codeblock layouts.
• Changes VIN binding on an existing supported switchable file using the ECU VIN or a supported EEPROM read.
• Supports brake + accelerator or clutch + cruise switching, depending on file and vehicle support.
• Prepares coding; it does not flash ECUs or create bespoke power tunes.

Account access

• Sign in with your licensed website account and approve your PC. One approved PC per licence.
• Internet is required for job authorisation.
• Reinstalling does not add credits or reset pending feedback.
• Active Trade membership is required to purchase.

Important — backups, checksums and ECU recovery

• Always keep verified full flash and EEPROM backups. Use the VIN stored in the ECU/EEPROM; a replacement ECU may differ from the vehicle.
• You must have the correct tools, access and knowledge to read, write and recover the ECU on the bench if needed.
• Verify the prepared BIN independently. Check/correct checksums with compatible tools, and use the correct checksum procedure when tools such as MPPS ask or offer the option.
• A checksum pass does not guarantee compatibility or successful programming.
• Free-test patches remain experimental. Do not program an ECU unless you can safely recover it.
